Kurt Warner
Its rare that an athlete can rise from obscurity to super stardom to a possible Hall of Fame career, but Kurt Warner has. Warner a former Arena Football qb, led the St. Louis Rams to the Super Bowl in 1999. He also is a two-time league MVP and all-pro. When the Rams and Giants let him go, Arizona picked him up and he was within 2 minutes of becoming a two-time Super Bowl winner. Kurt and his wife started a foundation back in 99 called First Thing First Foundation that helps single parents, children and adults with disabilities. He was named the NFL's 2008 Walter Payton Man Of the Year, which is dedicated to greatness on and off the field. What I find interesting is that Kurt was been gone from St. Louis for six years and yet the city still has a love affair with him and he with that city. The Warner's still do charity events and they are successful, and when Kurt comes to town the Rams sellout. It tells you that there is more to this guy than meets the eye. You know this is a good guy when he leaves marks in two cities.
